A little over a year ago, November 2008 to be exact, CBM introduced the “Pink Truck” in partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. We had the standard grey ready-mix truck painted pink to signify respect and admiration for those affected by breast cancer and to provide a visual reminder to everyone who notice it. And notice it they have!
Breast cancer has touched and impacted many lives, some within CBM. Our purpose was to be unique, draw attention and remind people to stop, think and act to help find a cure for breast cancer. We hope that every time a driver, pedestrian, or customers sees the Pink truck they are reminded of the pervasive role that breast cancer plays in our society and the continuing need to fight for a cure with our time, support and money. The Pink truck has attended numerous community parades and events, in addition to many jobsites, and each outing generates photo opportunities as well as important conversations about awareness and finding a cure.
In December 2009, CBM was very pleased and proud to present Sandra Palmaro, CEO, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region and Julia Razauskas, Development Officer. Corporate Partnerships, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Ontario Region a cheque for $15,000. This donation will help find a cure.
Keep an eye out for the Pink truck and continue to do your part in the fight for a cure. |
